From November 20th to December 8th 2021 our gallery hosts a personal exhibition of the Paduan artist.
The unmistakable New York skyline and the dancers of the NY City Ballet are among the favorite subjects of Any , an artist who dedicates a large part of his work to a very personal story of the Big Apple, so much so that even his stage name – Any is the acronym of About New York – is a tribute to this beloved city.
Any , who trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, is a multifaceted artist who ranges from photography to painting and street art (he participated in the 2021 edition of the Super Walls Street Art Biennial , for which he also signed the logo) and loves working with different materials. For this reason, there are canvases, prints and even cans on display, modern "sculptures" that have been personalized with stencils.
All the works on display are an expression of a visceral bond that the artist has established with the never-dying metropolis, the result of travel and a profound knowledge of the urban fabric, especially of the Brooklyn neighborhood. However, each canvas investigates a particular aspect of the infinite faces of New York: in Meet me in central park , for example, the pop soul of the city emerges, with a tribute that passes from the map of Manhattan and highlights the rectangle that corresponds precisely in Central Park, the great green lung of the city.
There are also under construction The bow , which reflects a more delicate and poetic gaze connected to art through the portrait of an elegant dancer and Icons of New York , a canvas that immortalises the city with its iconic skyline by setting it in shades of grey.
