Inspiration
Born in 1972 in Le Havre, Normandy, David Karsenty is a self-taught artist who, after studying psychology, found inPop artand in thestreet arthis artistic language. Inspired by Warhol, Basquiat and Haring, Karsenty works around the concept oficon, reinterpreting cult characters from comics and cartoons.
Technique
Karsenty uses a variety of media such ascanvas, paper and cardboard, repeating the main subjects on serial backgrounds, in line with the concept ofserialityof Warhol's Pop Art. Bright colors are a signature of his works, an expression of his vision of life: "Color is life!"
Exhibitions
David Karsenty has exhibited in numerous galleries in France and throughout Europe. In 2019 he brought his works to Italy, exhibiting atSamonà Gallery of Paduawith a personal exhibition of unpublished works.
