Julien Friedler is an atypical character in the art world. Born in 1950, he began his career as a psychoanalyst and writer. In 1994 he created the association «La Moire», a place for reflection on the psychic apparatus which already urged the breaking down of barriers between disciplines in the context of global research. He then distanced himself from his psychoanalyst colleagues - without however denying the knowledge acquired in this first professional phase - to found the "Boz", a universe in permanent evolution, which includes opposing facets, one of collective inspiration, the other of meditation individual. It is to this latter aspect that the pictorial production of the artist belongs and the installations entitled Schnarks that populate his atelier.
The exhibition, from March 12 to April 22, explores the pictorial world of Friedler through about thirty works with an evident dreamlike and primitive character, and reconstructs the atmosphere of his Brussels atelier through the phantasmagorical presence of the Schnarks.
