MARCO SCIAME'S NEW SOLO EXHIBITION

From Saturday 1 December at 18.00 the CD Studio d'Arte Gallery (via Buonarroti 131 – Padua) will host the works of Marco Sciame, painter, cartoonist, performer and creator of performances.

Marco Sciame is the stage name of Paolo Cerasoli.

Marco Sciame was born in L'Aquila, a city that boasts a varied and original secular historical-artistic heritage. He spent his adolescence at the Industrial Technical Institute where he graduated in "Experimental Electrotechnics". He already loves to draw.

In 1992 his passion for art prompted him to participate in a national competition "Fax art" of the magazine "Max" Rizzoli publisher, which sees him as the winner with a drawing sent by fax. He will then enroll at the Academy of Fine Arts in L'Aquila, Course in Painting, where in 1999 he will obtain the Diploma with the thesis entitled: "The line of European art Malevic, Duchamp, Beuys, Klein, Manzoni, Fontana" and vote 110 and praise. The supervisor of the painting chair is prof. Francis Delli Santi . The last year of the Academy sees him busy with prof. Giancarlo Gentilucci in the Performance Course which will end with a final essay.

Since 1998 Marco has had an ongoing collaboration with the master painter Tonino Caputo .

Marco's multifaceted personality is structured over time continuously fed by different paths with a single denominator. From 1990 to 2005 he worked as an author and cartoonist and since 2006 his research has focused on painting. In 2011 he began to perform performances of his own direction with the collaboration of a heterogeneous group of artists performers.
Numerous exhibitions and awards see him as the protagonist. He is the winner of the Arte Prize 2015, of the Targa d'Oro painting section for the competition of the magazine Arte, Mondadori and of the Biffi Prize 2015. Awarded in 2016 with the donation of the work "Madre mia" placed in the main church of the hospital in Teramo, in the exhibition "Credere la luce 6" of the Museo d'Arte dello Splendore in Giulianova.
