We are pleased to present the new exhibition by Diego Santini , “Come la Luna” , hosted by Galleria Samonà in Padua, in via Roma 57, and made possible with our contribution. Having already had the opportunity to meet this artist in the spaces of our gallery, we have now decided to dedicate a larger space to him. The exhibition, which will take place from Wednesday 31 July to Sunday 1 September , will be accessible according to a project that for some years has presented the works in a new and alternative way: through the illuminated windows, always visible ( even at night! ).
Vague and fleeting atmospheres , dreamy and at the same time ironic characters, delicate and vaguely melancholic landscapes, characterize the works of Diego Santini. The reference is to the world of fairy tales and, in a broader sense, to the free associations of childhood. The technique is that of fine art giclée , a meticulous printing technique retouched by hand by the artist. Diego Santini's passion for art was born suddenly, like a real illumination, characterizing his painting with a dreamy and enchanted tone , with a touch of magic that distinguishes him in the contemporary artistic panorama:
“It was at an exhibition of contemporary art paintings that I had a sort of enlightenment. There was no perfection but there was Soul. So I began to paint in my own way, without constraints, promising myself to never abandon my childish side” – Diego Santini
