UN’OPERA DI ALESSIO-B PER IL CUAMM

A WORK BY ALESSIO-B FOR CUAMM

Alessio-B has dedicated a work to Doctors with Africa CUAM M , a Padua-based NGO active for 70 years on the African continent with projects to promote and protect health, with particular attention to that of mothers and children.

The canvas, which has been delivered Wednesday 10 November to don Dante Carraro, director of CUAMM, portrays a mother who draws a great Africa from which a heart is born. The little girl, wrapped around her mother's body in the typical African kanga band, looks into the eyes of those who observe the canvas as if to say "stop and look, it's important".

This work-dedication is the result of a project promoted by the President of the Province of Padua Fabio Bui, who was struck by the sensitivity expressed by Alessio-B's work during the last edition of the Street Art Biennial. The canvas, accompanied by 20 signed and numbered by the artist, will be fully available to Doctors with Africa CUAMM, which will put them up for sale to raise funds for the purchase of healthcare equipment.

“As a Paduan, I am really proud to have been able to pay homage with one of my works to a reality like Doctors with Africa CUAMM, which left Padua and today helps thousands of mothers and children all over the world. Many of my works have children as protagonists, and therefore I am very pleased to know that this work will help some of them in difficulty.” , he has declared Alessio-B .

Ours was also present at the time of delivery Carlo Silvestrin , artistic director of the CD Studio d'Arte e curator of Street Art Biennial Super Walls , who explained: "I could not help but accompany Alessio-B on this project: with his art he expresses a 'thank you' which is the thanks of our entire community towards the doctors and all the operators involved in CUAMM projects in Africa and Europe".
