Collection: GIAMPIETRO CUDIN

Cudin Giampietro , Gianni to his friends, was born in Gorizia in 1948. After studying architecture, he graduated in Psychology at the University of Padua, where he has lived since 1970.

He began to paint for passion in 1966, inspired by the works of Maestro Altieri, but he soon discovered an irrepressible artistic vitality which led him to experiment with various forms of expression and to use heterogeneous materials ; the use of metals and stone lead him to create monumental sculptures which are now exhibited in public places in various parts of the world, including the monument dedicated to Perlasca created in Budapest in 2008 and in Toronto.

Painter, sculptor and graphic artist, creator of informal and symbolic works , he does not disdain to try his hand at the use of glass , obtaining sculptures where form and light merge to create effects of great charm.

The exhibitions

His is an artistic career in continuous evolution, since the curiosity that accompanies his gentle soul leads him to always expose himself to new challenges that gradually see him:

Nanao in Japan for an exhibition of Graphics and Sculpture (1982); Montreal in Canada to present “Immagini” a folder of graphics dedicated to Carolyn Carson (1983); Santa Monica – California USA (1997).

Subsequently, in Paris in 1998, in Russia in Moscow for the creation of a sculptural work for the Gardens of the M. Rudomino Library (1996) and in Venice for a performance during the 48th Biennale of Contemporary Art (1999).
