Giampietro Cudin, Gianni for his friends, was born in Gorizia in 1948. After studying architecture, he graduated in psychology at the University of Padua, where he has lived since 1970.

He began painting out of passion in 1966, inspired by the works of Maestro Altieri, but soon discovered within himself an irrepressible artistic vitality that led him to experiment with various forms of expression and to useheterogeneous materials; the use of metals and stone lead him to createmonumental sculptureswhich are now exhibited in public places in various parts of the world. An example is the monument dedicated to Perlasca built in Budapest in 2008 and replicated in Toronto in 2013.

Painter, sculptor and graphic artist, creator of informal and symbolic works, does not disdain to try his hand at the use ofglassobtaining sculptures where form and light merge to create effects of great charm. His is an artistic career in continuous evolution, since the curiosity that accompanies his gentle soul leads him to expose himself to ever new challenges that, at ainternational, take him to places such as Nanao (Japan), Montreal (Canada) and Santa Monica (California, USA), Paris (France), Moscow (Russia), before returning to Venice with a performance during the 48th Biennale of Contemporary Art in 1999. He has recently created a series of monumental sculptures that have been placed in various points of the city of Padua and, in particular, in front of the Carrarese Castle.

The more than ten-year collaboration with CD Studio d'Arte has produced several exhibitions and the creation of several folders of engravings, as well as sculptures that have been commissioned by public bodies and private companies. Furthermore, in 2018 an exhibition was organized at theSamonà Galleryof Padua.
