For the second edition of the Festival, which closed on 20 June, the artist created 3 large murals: a Padua worked on the wall of the Forest Foundation in via Gattamelata and in the Centro La Cittadella in the Stanga area, and in Limena (PD) on the wall of the Autogrill “ Limena Sud ” on the A4 motorway.
During the first edition of Super Walls – Abano Terme and Padua Street Art Biennial Alessio-B had enchanted Padua with a splendid execution on the wall of “ Look at the stars ”, which portrays a child curiously observing a blue sky embellished with stars that pay homage to the great Giotto.
Invited, like all the 39 participating artists, to interpret the theme of the Rebirth, Alessio-B proposed works that rework some of his subjects favorites, protagonists of his own prints most famous: i children . With their smiles, their genuine joy and their indomitable hope.
The most impressive work is undoubtedly the one created on the side wall of the Fondazione Foresta, entitled “ Together we can! ”.
The world is a beautiful place and worth fighting for – this is the profound message of this work by Alessio-B, which portrays two children who look at each other smiling while holding the planet in their hands. The background is a large blue sky that underlines a newfound freedom after the lockdown periods imposed by the pandemic.
“When they asked us to think about how we could interpret the concept of rebirth, I immediately thought of a work I had prepared during the spring lockdown for the charity auction D-Sign of light . It portrayed two children holding onto the world wearing two masks. Today, over a year later, the hope that the worst is behind us and that we can really, united, overcome this difficult period, prompted me to remove the masks from those children, showing their splendid smile". explains Alessio-B .
