Collection: Unique Works Vincent Gibeaux

Vincent Gibeaux

Born in Le Havre in 1972, Vincent Gibeaux is a self-taught painter who began his artistic career by making abstract ink drawings during his adolescence that he himself called "fillings" and imaginary calligraphies. Over time, Gibeaux has developed a detailed universe thanks to the Rotring pens used for the
industrial design. Little by little he integrates acrylic color into his work which becomes more and more figurative.

In recent years, his work
has taken on an increasingly narrative dimension, integrating collages, humorous motifs and elements
fantastic like strange animals, giant robots and trees populated by birds.
His paintings are characterized by an impeccable attention to detail, both in drawing and coloring, with an often
incandescent that captures the viewer's attention.

Influenced by the theory of
Alfred Hitchcock that every shot of a film should tell something,
Vincent Gibeaux tries to tell a story in every little plot of his
paintings. Art critics such as Luis Porquet have praised Gibeaux's works for
their attention to detail, the vibrant color and the incredible sense of detail that shines through in every creation.

His abstract drawings at
ink made in adolescence have given way to the Rotring pens used for industrial drawing. Today he integrates acrylic color into his figurative works.

Vincent Gibeaux participated in “Jungle Art Brooklyn” in New York in October 2013. Exhibition located at the Warehouse Gallery in Brooklyn.

The works of Vincent Gibeaux are exhibited at the Galerie Hamon, Place de l'Hôtel de Ville.
